Starbucks GRAND OPENING -
Faculty, staff, and students are now able to get their caffeine fix at the Starbucks located in the Student Center on the Health Sciences Campus. In celebration of the coffee franchise’s new home, there will be a “Grande Opening” on Wednesday, Dec. 4, from 8:30-10 a.m.
“We are very excited to bring Starbucks to the Student Center on the Health Sciences Campus with our food services partner, Sodexo,” said Karl Munschy, Director of Auxiliary Services.
In addition to Starbuck products, customers will also be able to purchase a selection of baked goods and “to go” sandwiches and salads.
“Starbucks was the number one concept desired by the students, faculty, and staff in the Quality of Life Survey conducted by Brailsford and Dunlavey last year,” he said.
Starbucks’ hours of operation on the Health Sciences Campus are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The addition of Starbucks is the first of many changes in the operation of food services at Georgia Regents University. According to Munschy, Chic-fil-A will expand its menu and transition to a better location within the Student Center in early spring. Joining Starbucks and Chic-fil-A will be Mein Bowl, an Asian concept that includes Sushi.
“A Subway will open on Harper Street in the Faculty Office Building in early spring as well,” added Munschy.Karl Munschy Mein Bowl Sodexo Starbucks Subway 2013-11-25 Tunisia Williams
